Acoustic Harvest Brings a Cornucopia of Music

SCC produces a wood to commemorate its 17th annual show

By David Bawcutt

The Scarborough Coin Club had its 17th Annual Coin Show at Cedarbrook Community Centre on November 2, 2013. About 170 people attended the show which had 20 dealer tables, a club table with free giveaways, three displays prepared by our president, Peter Machulec, and free draws every half hour. Refreshments were also available, with the new addition of a pulled pork sandwich. We had two new members join our club at this month’s meeting. Our club produced a wood for the show, in a quantity of 100, with light blue foil stamping both sides.
The Scarborough Coin Club is celebrating its 38th anniversary at a December 4, 2013 Christmas Party with a chicken buffet at Cedarbrook Community Centre. The event starts at 7:00 pm. The club has made an annual anniversary wood for the occasion, in a quantity of 100, with red foil stamping both sides.
The club has been producing an anniversary wood each year since its 5th anniversary in 1980, a show wood each year, and we also have three special woods and one error wood. There are 19 woods sold out of the 54 different woods our club has issued.
